The 25-year old summer collegiate league is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 22 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. The Waterloo Bucks are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. The ballpark welcomed a new state of the art video board in 2016 thanks to a matching grant from the Black Hawk County Gaming Association. Waterloo is guaranteed to host at least one home game, as many as four, at Cost Cutters Field at Riverfront Stadium in August. The Bucks have qualified for the 2019 Northwoods League Playoffs and tickets are currently on sale. No outside food or drink will be allowed, as the concessions stands will be open. There will be free admission and fans are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair and sit on the field to watch the movie. Gates will open at 6:30 pm with the movie starting at 7:00 pm for the PG rated film, running 1 hour and 58 minutes.
